Venus is nearly stationary, having arrived at the degree where it will turn retrograde next week (21° Gemini, May 13th). The retrograde phase of Venus is generally quite challenging but, ahead of the approximately 40 days and 40 nights of the upcoming retrograde phase, we have a beneficial Mercury-Venus mutual reception period. The mutual reception period, lasting until May 11th, allows us to lay down some productive goals for how to use the coming (Venus retrograde) challenges to identify areas of information that we want to clarify, review, and/or expose in an effort to find healing and resolution. The long arc of the Venus-Neptune square challenges our idealism and demands that we find a more healthy respect for ourselves within the context of a healthy approach to reality.
